Experience

Velocity has the following experienced persons within the company:

Stuart Grant – Managing Director 

Stuart Grant has been in the office furniture industry for over 15 years.  He is the previous owner of Modutec Office Furniture and Legacy Furniture cc which he owned and personally ran for 9 years.  He built up the business which only started with 3 employees to an estimated 400 employees over the 9 years.  Stuart then sold Modutec / Legacy in 2007 and has since opened up Velocity Furniture.

Chris Groenewald – Sales Director

Chris Groenewald has been in the office furniture industry for over 8 years.  He started off as a sales consultant and gradually worked his way up to Sales Manager.  He has now joined Stuart Grant as the Sales Director of Velocity Furniture.

Darren Abbott – Project Manager

Darren Abbott started Modutec Office Furniture with Stuart Grant over 15 years ago.  He ran the installation and project management side for Modutec.  Darren then left Modutec in 2004.  Darren then joined Quantabello Interiors where he managed the production and shop fitting division.  He also joined Manas Design and Detail as a project manager in their shop fitting division.  In 2008 Darren then joined Space Station where he ran turnkey projects for the entire office fit out until joining Velocity in 2010.

Nesta Brown – Customer Liaison & Logistical Manager

Nesta Brown has been in the office furniture industry since 1996.  She started off at Pago Designs where she was in the internal sales department and also ran the dispatch and installation.  In 1999 she moved to Modutec Office Furniture where she was primarily the customer liaison and logistical manager for 7 years.  There she ran approx 5 installation teams, completing between 10 and 15 installations per day both locally and nationally.  In 2006 she moved to Furniture Evolution which was a retail store where she handled everything from customer liaison, purchasing and dispatch and installation.  In 2009 she rejoined Stuart and Chris at Velocity where she now does customer liaison, purchasing, invoicing, dispatch and installation.
